Community Guidelines
Effective date: August 25, 2026
Who These Apply To
These guidelines apply to all users of Upskwela, including creators and learners. They work together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Community owners are responsible for ensuring that their communities and contributors follow them.
1. Education Only
- Upskwela exists solely for educational purposes: teaching, learning, training, mentorship, academic or professional development, and instructional resources.
- Every community and all content uploaded, published, promoted, or sold must have a genuine and primary educational purpose.
- Non-educational communities and content are prohibited, whether paid or free.
2. Be Respectful
- No harassment, hate speech, bullying, threats, or discrimination.
- Debate ideas respectfully. Personal attacks are not allowed.
- Do not create hostile or unsafe environments.
3. Stay On Topic
- Keep posts relevant to the community or learning objective.
- Avoid spam, repetitive promotion, and off-topic posts.
5. Privacy and Security
- No doxxing or sharing personal contact details without consent.
- Do not share credentials or impersonate other users.
- Report suspicious activity, scams, or phishing immediately.
6. Prohibited Content and Conduct
- No plagiarism, piracy, copyright infringement, unauthorized copying or distribution, or sale of content you do not own or have permission to use.
- No gambling, betting, wagering, lotteries, casino-style activity, or promotion or facilitation of those activities.
- No content, community, product, service, or promotion unrelated to education.
- No selling or charging for content or offerings that are empty, placeholder-only, materially incomplete, or otherwise lack meaningful educational value consistent with their listing or description.
- No illegal activity, fraud, phishing, malware, or deceptive links.
- No hate or violent incitement.
- No sexual content involving minors.
- No fake credentials, fake testimonials, or impersonation.
7. Originality, Branding, and Impersonation
- Do not publish or sell a profile, community, course, event, coaching program, digital product, Shop product, or listing that copies or closely imitates another person's or organization's distinctive name, logo, artwork, description, branding, or overall presentation in a way likely to confuse people about its source, ownership, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
- Do not impersonate another creator, organization, product, community, or service. Do not use another party's trademarks, logos, product names, identity, or promotional materials without permission.
- You may teach the same subject, use common ideas or methods, make truthful comparisons, or use properly licensed material when your content and branding are independently created or authorized and are not misleading.
- Upskwela may request evidence of creation, ownership, licensing, authorization, affiliation, or prior use while reviewing a report.
8. AI and Synthetic Media
- Label AI-generated content when it may mislead people.
- No deepfakes or synthetic media of real people without consent.
- Do not use AI to fabricate achievements or credentials.
9. Promotions and Payments
- Follow creator/channel rules for promotions and affiliate links.
- No unsolicited DMs or repeated ads.
- Do not bypass Upskwela payment systems to avoid platform fees.
10. Moderation and Enforcement
- Confirmed plagiarism, piracy, gambling-related activity, or non-educational content will be taken down immediately. The responsible user account and associated community will be permanently banned.
- For other correctable violations, Upskwela will normally send a warning that gives the responsible user or community 1 to 3 calendar days to update, remove, or fix the affected content or conduct. The available period depends on severity.
- After that period, Upskwela will review the response. Content may be removed and the user and community may be restricted, suspended, or banned if they still fail to comply.
- During a credible copycat, impersonation, or intellectual-property review, Upskwela may temporarily limit discovery, new sales, access, or payouts for the affected offering while preserving evidence and requesting proof. A temporary measure is not a final finding.
- Confirmed deliberate impersonation, unauthorized use of protected content or branding, or deceptive copying may result in removal, refunds, payout restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban. Similarity of a topic, idea, method, or common format alone is not proof of a violation.
- We may act without a warning when required by law or when fraud or a serious safety risk requires immediate action.
- Creators can moderate their communities, but Upskwela rules take precedence.
- Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans, payout holds, or legal action.
- Selling empty, incomplete, or otherwise non-meaningful content or offerings may cause all or part of the responsible user's payouts to be restricted or held until the offering is corrected or completed and any required purchaser remedy, including a refund, is provided.
- Failure to resolve the issue, or intentional or repeated violations, may result in content removal, continued payout restrictions, suspension, or a permanent ban from Upskwela.
11. Purchased Content After Moderation
A purchaser will keep account-specific access to content they bought even if the owner deletes their account or the related community is archived, deleted, restricted, or banned. Only eligible purchasers may use that continuing access. It ends if the specific content is restricted, banned, or removed by an Upskwela administrator, or if the purchase is refunded, reversed, charged back, fraudulent, or otherwise invalidated.
12. Reporting, Responses, and Appeals
Report violations through in-app reporting tools or via hello@upskwela.com. For copycat or intellectual-property concerns, include the original source, the affected Upskwela URL, what was copied or misrepresented, and supporting evidence.
If a report or moderation action affects your account or content, you may respond or appeal with evidence of independent creation, ownership, license, permission, prior use, or other relevant context. Knowingly false or abusive reports may result in restrictions or suspension.
13. Updates
We may update these guidelines from time to time. Continued use of Upskwela after an update means you accept the revised guidelines.
